This page explains, in plain language, what RiftPets does with your information. RiftPets is a virtual pet game made for families, so we keep it short and we keep it simple.

Who we are
RiftPets is operated by the RiftPets team. You can reach us through the secure contact page.
What we collect
Right now, while the game is on a waitlist, we collect one thing: the email address you type into the waitlist form. If you use our contact form, we also receive your message and the email address you give us.
When the beta opens, players will sign in with an email address, using a link we send to that email. We store your game save, such as your pets and eggs, so you can play from different devices. We do not ask for your real name, your address or your phone number to play.
How we use it
We use your waitlist email for one purpose: to tell you when your invite to the RiftPets beta is ready and to send occasional news about the game you asked for. We use a contact message to answer it. We do not use your email for anything unrelated.
We do not sell your data
We never sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it or hand it to advertisers.
Sharing
We use Cloudflare to host the site and store waitlist and contact submissions. Service providers may process your information only to perform those services for us. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Children and families
RiftPets is meant to be a kid safe game. If you are under 13, please play with a parent or guardian, and ask them to sign up for the waitlist and any account for you. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without a parent's involvement. If you are a parent and think your child has given us information without your say, use our contact page and we will review and delete it where appropriate.
Cookies and analytics
The waitlist site is designed to work without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare may process basic request and security data to deliver and protect the site.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist email until the beta has launched and you no longer want news, or until you ask us to remove it. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Use the contact page. Parents may make these requests for their children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, such as using trusted providers and limiting who can see it. No system is perfectly safe, and we will tell you if something goes wrong that affects you.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also email people on the waitlist.
