Welcome to RiftPets. These terms explain the rules for using the RiftPets website, the waitlist and the game. We wrote them in plain language. By using the site, you agree to them.

A kid safe game
RiftPets is made to be safe and friendly for families. If you are under 13, you need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms for you, to sign up for the waitlist and to help you play. If you are a parent signing up for your child, you are agreeing on their behalf.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means you would like an invite to the beta. It is not a promise of a place on any date. Invites go out in waves, and we cannot promise when yours will arrive. We will use your email only to tell you about the beta and news about RiftPets that you asked for. We do not sell your data. See the privacy policy.
The beta
The beta is early. Things will change, break and be fixed. We may reset, adjust or remove parts of the game while we learn, including pets, eggs and items. We will do our best to warn you first and to keep your pets safe, but a beta is a beta.
Your account
When accounts open, you are responsible for keeping your sign in email secure. Please do not share your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.
Being kind
Please be kind. Do not use RiftPets to harass, cheat, break the game or try to get into other people's accounts. Do not try to copy or attack the site. We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules.
Our things and your things
RiftPets, its creatures, art, names, music and code belong to their respective creators and rights holders. You may play the game and share what you make, such as screenshots of your pets, but please do not copy our art or pass it off as yours. Our creatures are original, and we would like to keep them that way.
Free to play
The game is planned to be free to play. If paid features are added later, we will explain their price and terms before you buy anything.
Pets and no death
Pets in RiftPets do not die. Game items, eggs and pets are part of a game and have no real world money value.
No promises
We work hard to make the site and game work well, but we provide them as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost game progress, downtime or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law.
Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, email people on the waitlist. If you keep using RiftPets after a change, you accept the new terms.
Ending things
You may stop using RiftPets at any time and ask us to delete your information. We may end or change the service, and we will give notice when we can.
