Otter-Manta is a splashy, sociable hybrid with wide fins and a playful streak a mile wide. It slides across the playpen on its belly, flaps its fins to say hello and loves to be part of every game. It is friendly, silly and quick to make friends.

In the game: every Otter-Manta hatches as a baby with a pacifier face, becomes a teenager on day two and an adult on day three, about 48 hours in all. Care is bonus growth. Play, feed, warm and nap with your Otter-Manta and a stage can shrink from 24 hours to about 4. Hands off is fine too, because pets keep growing while you are away. Once two adults become friends and the friendship meter reaches 75 percent, the mating pen opens. A couple of hours later there is an egg. It is one of the first hybrids in the launch roster, so early players will see what a pairing really looks like.
