Dotback is small, round and quietly delighted by everything. It rolls when it is happy and rolls again when it is happier. Players like to count the spots on its shell, and every player has a story about the number being different in the morning. Dotback says nothing about it. It just looks lucky.

In the game: every Dotback hatches as a baby with a pacifier face, becomes a teenager on day two and an adult on day three, about 48 hours in all. Care is bonus growth. Play, feed, warm and nap with your Dotback and a stage can shrink from 24 hours to about 4. Hands off is fine too, because pets keep growing while you are away. Once two adults become friends and the friendship meter reaches 75 percent, the mating pen opens. A couple of hours later there is an egg. Its shell dots make it a favourite to breed, since you never know which pattern a new egg will roll.
