Glidepen is the most determined creature in the Rift. It runs, it flaps its fins, it leaps off the nearest bump and lands on its belly with total dignity. Then it gets up and tries again. It is brave, bouncy and a great cheerleader for anyone else who is having a tough day.

In the game: every Glidepen hatches as a baby with a pacifier face, becomes a teenager on day two and an adult on day three, about 48 hours in all. Care is bonus growth. Play, feed, warm and nap with your Glidepen and a stage can shrink from 24 hours to about 4. Hands off is fine too, because pets keep growing while you are away. Once two adults become friends and the friendship meter reaches 75 percent, the mating pen opens. A couple of hours later there is an egg. Cheer it on with a play session and watch the happiness meter climb, because play is one of the ways a pet earns growth.
