The Rift Dragon is a base species with a crest of chunky clumps and a look of total confidence. It is brave, loud and fiercely loyal. It also loves naps, which surprises visitors. The dragon has wings and a proud stance, and it shows both whenever a friend arrives.

In the game: every Dragon hatches as a baby with a pacifier face, becomes a teenager on day two and an adult on day three, about 48 hours in all. Care is bonus growth. Play, feed, warm and nap with your Dragon and a stage can shrink from 24 hours to about 4. Hands off is fine too, because pets keep growing while you are away. Once two adults become friends and the friendship meter reaches 75 percent, the mating pen opens. A couple of hours later there is an egg. As a base species it can be bred with other adults, and its wings make it a favourite starting point for winged hybrids.
