Leaftoe is the champion of hide and seek. It blends into the greenery, holds perfectly still and waits for you to notice. When you do, it wiggles its toes and looks delighted. It is shy at first, clever always and very good at surprises.

In the game: every Leaftoe hatches as a baby with a pacifier face, becomes a teenager on day two and an adult on day three, about 48 hours in all. Care is bonus growth. Play, feed, warm and nap with your Leaftoe and a stage can shrink from 24 hours to about 4. Hands off is fine too, because pets keep growing while you are away. Once two adults become friends and the friendship meter reaches 75 percent, the mating pen opens. A couple of hours later there is an egg. Patience pays off with a Leaftoe, since a warm blanket and a quiet nap are all part of its care.
